Top Lumber Bats is proud to provide quality wood baseball and softball bats for all levels of play. We get our rock hard maple & northern white ash billets directly from a mill where they are vacuum kiln dried. They are immediately spun into our various models and hand painted at our shop in Ridley Township. Customers are invited to come into Top Lumber Academy to try out the different models before ordering or purchasing a custom bat. Stock bats are available for purchase in our Academy Pro Shop and can also be custom ordered in person or online.
Our process begins by choosing our wood from select sugar/hard maple and northern white ash trees. This includes choosing trees that are 40-60 years old allowing for strength in the bat. The vacuum kiln dry process dries our wood to the precise moisture content necessary for each billet. Each billet is individually weighed for specific sizes and models. We use volume calculations to create the ounces needed for each bat. The various models are spun on a Computerized Production CNC Lathe. Our finishing process consists of either stain dipping or painting according to customer specifications. All bats are boned to compress the wood.
